And, with two-and-a-half-weeks of extensive coverage of landscapes and skies, I hardly scratched the surface of the visual opportunities that were offered to me\".<br>\r\n<br>\r\nFilm Director, Steven Spielberg.<br>\r\n-<br>\r\nMany who have attended a Dartmoor workshop or purchased one of my Dartmoor books will know of my extensive knowledge from walking and photographing the moor since the late 80s. <br>\r\nTo truly understand Dartmoor you have to experience it over many years in all seasons.<br>\r\n<br>\r\nMuch of 'War horse' was filmed extensively on Dartmoor in August and September 2010. In fact I was hosting a workshop on one of the filming days in August 2010 and watched the filming of horse scenes from the top of Sheepstor.<br>\r\nI was so smitten by the new War horse epic that I wanted to re-visit the film locations, all of which I recognised in the film.  Many of the locations used are stunning for landscape photography. <br>\r\n<br>\r\nThe workshop can be a full, half day or a group of three.<br>\r\n<br>\r\nYou will receive the same level of tuition as with the 'Dartmoor' workshops but the locations will be specific to the filming of War horse.<br>\r\n<br>\r\nThese include:<br>\r\n- Burrator. Including the location of the Albert and Joey the horse chasing the car above the reservoir <br>\r\n- Sheepstor. Looking across the reservoir towards the tor at sunrise as seen at the beginning the film.<br>\r\n- Ringmore Down.  Used extensively.<br>\r\n- Leather Tor and Peak Hill. Horse riding scenes were filmed here.<br>\r\n- Bonehill Rocks. (Also Bell Tor and Honeybag Tor nearby) Joey was ridden in front of the rocks.<br>\r\n- Haytor. Joey was ridden by Albert through Haytor rocks.<br>\r\n- Combestone Tor. Used for a scene early in the film of farmers with livestock. Also scenes filmed with the horses.<br>\r\n- Ditsworthy Warren House. This was the family farmhouse in the film and looks out towards gutter Tor, Sheepstor and Leather Tor.<br>\r\nVisit the scenes where Albert trains Joey and ploughs the field.
